  • Build and refine financial models across revenue streams and operating segments

  • Assist in optimizing capital structure and funding strategy to support growth
  • Prepare materials for board, investors, and financing processes

M&A / Acquisition Support

  • Support the CEO in evaluating acquisition opportunities, partnerships, and strategic investments
  • Build financial models, valuations, and scenario analyses for potential transactions
  • Lead or support financial due diligence, including quality of earnings and risk assessment
  • Assist with deal structuring, financing considerations, and integration planning
  • Help ensure smooth financial integration post-acquisition (systems, reporting, controls)

Accounting, Payroll & Financial Operations

  • Oversee accounting, financial reporting, payroll, and month-end close processes
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll across US and Canadian employees, including compliance with applicable regulations
  • Ensure compliance with North American financial, tax, and payroll requirements
  • Maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness
  • Optimize systems and workflows for efficiency and scalability

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships
  • Optimize working capital, including inventory and receivables/payables cycles
  • Align financial strategy with operational realities of a product-based business

Operational Finance

  • Partner with operations and commercial teams to improve margins and efficiency
  • Analyze profitability across products, channels, and customer segments
  • Support planning, forecasting, and vendor negotiations
  • Drive cost discipline while enabling growth

Systems, Data & Finance Enablement

  • Improve financial systems, reporting, and data infrastructure
  • Support adoption of automation and emerging technologies
  • Enhance visibility and speed of decision-making through better data integration
  • Build scalable processes to support growth

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop a small but high-performing finance and payroll team
  • Build scalable processes appropriate for a growing organization
  • Foster a culture of ownership, clarity, and continuous improvement
