About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to support the growth of our nitrogen services operations in Canada.

This role will focus on developing strategic client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and securing contracts for nitrogen pumping services across the oil & gas sector.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong network within the Canadian energy industry, a solid understanding of nitrogen applications and the commercial ability to translate customer requirements into profitable business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Revenue Growth

Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities for nitrogen pumping and related services.
Drive revenue growth through new client acquisition, existing account development and long-term commercial partnerships.
Identify upcoming projects, market opportunities and customer requirements across the Canadian oil & gas sector.
Prepare and support commercial proposals, pricing quotations, contract negotiations and technical job designs.
Develop and execute business development strategies to expand market presence and maximise equipment utilisation.

Client Relationship Management

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, operators, contractors and service providers.
Conduct regular face-to-face client meetings, site visits and commercial discussions.
Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring strong communication and customer satisfaction.
Maintain awareness of competitor activity, industry developments and emerging market opportunities.

Technical & Operational Collaboration

Work closely with operations, sales and field teams to ensure successful project execution and client delivery.
Provide technical and commercial insight into nitrogen pumping applications and service requirements.
Support operational teams with client engagement, job planning and technical discussions.
Contribute to identifying new applications and markets for nitrogen services.
Promote compliance with company HSE policies, operational standards and industry best practices.

Requirements

Proven experience in business development, technical sales or commercial management within the oil & gas or energy services industry.
Strong technical understanding of nitrogen gas, nitrogen pumping applications, nitrogen generation and associated services.
Knowledge of upstream and downstream oil & gas operations and associated industrial processes.
Established industry relationships and the ability to develop new business opportunities within the Canadian market.
Demonstrated success in securing contracts, negotiating commercial agreements and generating revenue.
Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and operational teams.
Willingness to travel to client offices, operating regions and remote project locations as required.
Strong commitment to health, safety and operational excellence.

What We're Looking For

We are particularly interested in candidates who combine technical nitrogen expertise with a strong commercial mindset.

You should be comfortable engaging directly with customers, understanding their operational challenges and identifying where nitrogen services can deliver value.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who can open doors, build relationships, win contracts and contribute directly to business growth.
