Job details

Job type: Full-time
Apply by: Nov 19, 2026
Experience: 5+ years of experience in the mining industry - whether with a mining operator, contractor, OEM, or supplier to the mining sector
Posting language: English
Posted: Oct 20, 2026

Original job description

About Us

We are a world-leading manufacturer of giant off-the-road (OTR) tires serving the global mining industry. Our products power some of the largest haul trucks and mining equipment operating in open-pit mines worldwide. As we continue to expand our footprint in North America, we are looking for a driven, hands-on Business Development Manager to join our team in Canada.

The Role

You will be the face of our brand in Canada, building relationships from the ground up with mining companies, mining contractors, OEMs, and tire service providers. This is a hunter role - you will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, in a territory with enormous untapped potential.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a territory business plan to drive sales growth of giant OTR/mining tires across Western Canada
Identify, prospect, and establish relationships with key decision-makers at mining operations, mining contractors, and equipment fleets
Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, site visits, needs analysis, quoting, negotiation, and contract closure
Work closely with technical and logistics teams to ensure seamless product delivery and after-sales support
Gather market intelligence on competitors, pricing, customer demand, and industry trends; feed insights back to headquarters
Represent the company at industry events, mine sites, and trade shows across the region
Build and maintain a healthy, growing sales pipeline with accurate forecasting

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves:

5+ years of experience in the mining industry - whether with a mining operator, contractor, OEM, or supplier to the mining sector
A proven track record of opening new accounts and consistently exceeding sales targets - you're a hunter, not a farmer
Strong existing network within the Canadian/Western Canadian mining community (Calgary, Alberta, and BC mining regions)
Familiarity with OTR/mining tires or heavy mining equipment is a strong plus
Entrepreneurial mindset: self-motivated, persistent, and comfortable building a territory from scratch
Willingness to travel extensively to mine sites across the region
Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Who Thrives Here:

Someone who is hardworking, resilient, and hungry to win. This is a ground-floor opportunity - the territory is yours to build. We value grit over polish, and results over process. If you're the type who picks up the phone, knocks on doors, and doesn't stop until the deal is done, you'll fit right in.

What We Offer

Competitive base salary + uncapped commission/performance bonus
Direct line to global leadership with fast decision-making
Long-term career growth as we scale our North American operations
The opportunity to build a territory - and a legacy - from day one
