Original job description

Connexa Group (formerly CORE Geomatics) is a multi-service firm offering integrated geomatics, environmental and land use planning services. We believe the most valuable asset an organization has is its people. Our team members are dynamic, energetic, entrepreneurial and creative, but most importantly, they are the company. We lead the industry by adopting new technology and finding creative solutions that improve efficiency and allow for a flexible work environment. Whether your career with Connexa is in the field or the office, you'll find we adapt to the ever-changing workplace.

We're looking for a Survey Assistant in Saskatoon, SK to support our survey crews across Saskatchewan. Ideally, you have some survey experience or a civil or geomatics technology background, and want to grow into a party chief role with an innovative, forward-thinking company.

The Work:

Support our party chiefs on construction, municipal and legal survey projects across Saskatchewan
Work with crews out of Saskatoon and Regina, especially during the busy season
Set up, use and look after GPS and other survey equipment
Collect survey data and help with other field tasks as directed by your party chief
Communicate clearly with trades, coworkers and clients on site
Follow safety protocols and help keep the work site safe
Work outdoors in all seasons and weather, and travel within the province when projects call for it

What you bring to the table:

A high school diploma and an interest in the geomatics industry
Post-secondary education in geomatics or civil engineering technology is an asset
Experience on a survey crew is an asset
A valid Class 5 driver's licence
Current First Aid certification is an asset (we'll train you if needed)
Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test when required
Strong written and verbal communication skills

We hire people who live our values every day:

Relationship Builder: you build trust with clients and coworkers, and you're comfortable working directly with clients
Team Player: you put the team first, help where it's needed and follow through
Growth Oriented: you're always learning and looking to build your skills
Creative Problem Solver: you look for better ways to get the job done

Why Connexa?

We're a team that looks out for each other, builds lasting relationships with our clients and is always looking for a better way to do things. Here's what you can expect when you join us:

A commitment to investing in your future, with real opportunities for career progression as you grow with Connexa
Hands-on mentorship and one-on-one training with experienced colleagues across the field and office
Health and benefits package
Flexible health spending account
Life insurance and travel health coverage
Professional dues covered, where applicable
Paid safety training relevant to your role (e.g., First Aid, H2S, ATV)

If you feel this is the right challenge for you and you meet these qualifications, please respond to this ad with your resume and cover letter in Word or PDF format.

We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
