Human Resources Assistant Intern

Job Title: Human Resources Assistant Intern

Type: Full-Time, Temporary (3 Month Placement)

Start Date: Immediately

Location: North York, ON (Hybrid)

Job Summary

Reporting to the HR Generalist, the HR Assistant Intern will support day-to-day HR functions with a focus on recruitment, HR initiatives, and administrative activities. This role offers hands-on experience across a variety of HR functions and provides an opportunity to develop practical skills within the healthcare technology industry.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist with initial resume screening to support recruitment efforts

Participate in phone interviews as needed to gain exposure and experience

Support the new hire onboarding process, including documentation and coordination

Organize and maintain the recruitment inbox to ensure timely communication

Ensure job postings across all platforms are accurate and up to date

Help create and maintain a centralized master resume repository

Assist with scheduling 90-day onboarding surveys and tracking completion

Send and monitor 30- and 60-day onboarding surveys for new hires

Conduct external salary benchmarking research to support compensation analysis

Research milestone recognition best practices and available programs

Support updates to the external careers page by conducting employee interviews F QMS.04.00

Review and update the Job Description (JD) library to maintain accuracy and relevance

Convert hard copy employee files into digital formats using SharePoint

Assist with developing a competency, knowledge, education, and skills matrix to support talent management and succession planning

Other duties as required

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Human Resources, Business Administration, or related program at a University or College

Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with SharePoint is an asset

Must be trustworthy with a strong sense of ethics due to nature of work and exposure to confidential information.
