Original job description

About Us

The Construction Association of Saskatchewan (CASK) is the collective voice of Saskatchewan’s construction industry. As a member-driven, non-profit organization, we work across the province to advocate for fair procurement, support workforce development, and advance a healthy, competitive construction industry. Our work spans advocacy, education, industry leadership, and member services, all with a shared goal of building a stronger Saskatchewan.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a friendly, organized Office Coordinator to be the welcoming face of our Saskatoon office. As part of our Finance & Administration Hub, you’ll keep the front office running smoothly, support meetings and events across the team, and make sure every member and guest who calls or walks through the door is well looked after.

This is a role with room to grow. You’ll start with reception, office operations, and administrative support. With training and mentorship, the role may grow over time to include accounting support and other responsibilities that match your strengths and the Association’s needs. This is a full-time term position concluding in October 2028, with the potential to become permanent. If you bring strong service skills and a genuine appetite to learn, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist members and guests, and answer and direct phone calls.
  • Process online store orders and payments in a timely manner.
  • Set up for meetings and take minutes.
  • Support the planning and delivery of member events.
  • Order office supplies and maintain office equipment.
  • Complete bank runs and process mail.
  • Provide administrative support, including filing, data entry, correspondence, and records management.
  • With training and mentorship, the role may grow to include accounting support.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience:

  • Experience in reception, administration, customer service, or a similar role is preferred.
  • A certificate or diploma in office administration or business is an asset. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, or bookkeeping is an asset.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Warm, professional, and service-focused.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Eager to learn and take on new responsibilities.
  • A team player who enjoys pitching in wherever help is needed.
  • Reliable and discreet with confidential information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365; QuickBooks experience is an asset.

What We Offer

  • Training, mentorship, and a real opportunity to grow your role.
  • A close-knit team where everyone pitches in and supports each other’s work.
  • A competitive salary and benefits package.
  • The chance to contribute to Saskatchewan’s construction industry.

Working Conditions

  • Based in our Saskatoon office; in-person, office-based role.
  • Full-time term concluding in October 2028, with the potential to become permanent.
  • Monday to Friday, with occasional evening or weekend events.
