Solutions Architect - HPE
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to support client engagements through the design, development, and presentation of enterprise networking solutions, with a primary focus on HPE Networking technologies. This role serves as a technical leader throughout the sales and delivery lifecycle, working closely with account teams, engineering resources, HPE, and clients to develop scalable, resilient, and secure network architectures.
The ideal candidate brings strong consulting and technical expertise across enterprise campus, branch, wireless, and data center networking, with deep experience in HPE Aruba Networking and/or HPE Juniper Networking solutions. Experience with complementary networking technologies is beneficial, but this role will be primarily aligned to HPE-led opportunities and solutions.
This position requires the ability to translate business requirements into technical architectures, develop solution designs, support customer presentations, and collaborate with delivery teams to ensure successful implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Development & Architecture
- Design and develop enterprise campus, branch, wireless, and data center networking solutions for new and existing clients, with a primary focus on HPE Networking technologies.
- Gather business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable, resilient, and operationally sound network architectures.
- Develop high-level designs (HLDs), low-level designs (LLDs), reference architectures, and technical recommendations.
- Conduct technical workshops, discovery sessions, and architecture reviews.
- Validate solution designs against performance, availability, resiliency, security, and operational requirements.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from initial discovery through implementation and transition.
Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement
- Partner with account managers and business development teams to support customer opportunities.
- Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and solution reviews.
- Participate in customer meetings to understand business objectives and technical requirements.
- Support RFP, RFI, and proposal development activities.
- Assist with scope development, effort estimation, and Statement of Work (SOW) creation.
- Support the technical positioning of professional services and managed services offerings.
Architecture & Advisory
- Lead the development of architectures across core networking domains:
- Enterprise Campus & Branch Networking
- Wireless Networking
- Data Center Networking
- Provide design guidance and technical oversight to engineering and delivery teams.
- Develop standards and best practices for enterprise networking and infrastructure solutions.
- Ensure proposed solutions align with industry best practices for scalability, resiliency, security, and operational efficiency.
Collaboration & Technical Leadership
- Work closely with engineering, delivery, and managed services teams to ensure successful implementation of proposed solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and consultants.
- Participate in internal knowledge sharing and technical enablement activities.
- Contribute to the development of standardized architectures, methodologies, and service offerings.
- Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and vendor solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in network engineering, architecture, or related infrastructure roles.
- Experience in consulting, professional services, systems integration, or solution architecture roles.
- Proven ability to design and present complex technical solutions to customers.
- Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical architectures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, project stakeholders, and executive leadership.

- HPE Aruba Networking CX switching platforms
- HPE Aruba Networking Central
- HPE Aruba Networking wireless solutions
- HPE Juniper EX Series switching
- HPE Juniper Mist wired and wireless solutions
- Campus LAN and branch networking architectures
- Network segmentation, access control, and policy-based networking
- Routing and switching technologies including:
- BGP

Data Center Networking
Experience designing and architecting:
- Spine-leaf data center architectures
- EVPN/VXLAN fabrics
- Data center segmentation and secure network design
- High availability and resiliency solutions
- Data Center Interconnect (DCI)
- Multi-site and disaster recovery architectures
- Network automation and orchestration solutions
Networking Security Fundamentals
Working knowledge of security concepts that support enterprise network design, including:
- Network segmentation and access control
- Secure connectivity and VPN fundamentals
- Zero Trust and identity-aware networking concepts
- Integration of network infrastructure with enterprise security platforms
- Ability to collaborate with security specialists when opportunities require deeper firewall or cybersecurity expertise

- Cisco Systems or other enterprise networking platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- HPE Aruba Networking and/or HPE Juniper Networking certifications or equivalent hands-on expertise
- Experience working for a VAR, systems integrator, managed services provider, or consulting organization
- Experience with cloud networking, network automation, or orchestration technologies is beneficial
