In our Junior Developer Co-op program, you'll gain hands-on experience across two of our fastest-growing practices. This unique 12-month opportunity provides six months of experience with our Software Development team and six months with our Data & Analytics team, giving you exposure to both application development and modern data platforms. You'll work alongside experienced developers, architects, consultants, and analysts while contributing to real client projects that make a measurable impact.

About the Role
This is more than a traditional software development co-op. During your placement, you'll spend time working with both our Software Development and Data & Analytics teams and contribute directly to active client engagements. You'll help build business applications, automate processes, develop analytics solutions, and explore how Microsoft Copilot, AI agents, and generative AI capabilities can be applied to real business needs using modern Microsoft cloud technologies.
By the end of the program, you'll have gained experience across both application development and data-driven solution delivery, providing a strong foundation for a career in technology consulting and software development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, testing, deployment, and support of client solutions using Microsoft technologies.
- Build and enhance Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and related Power Platform solutions.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI.
- Support data preparation, transformation, integration, and modeling activities.
- Assist in the development of data pipelines and analytics solutions using modern Microsoft data platforms.
- Support the design, prototyping, testing, and integration of AI-enabled solutions using tools such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI services, and Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility.
- Help evaluate AI use cases, connect solutions to approved data and business systems, and document agent purpose, boundaries, expected outcomes, and human oversight requirements.
- Apply responsible AI, privacy, security, testing, monitoring, and governance practices throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Participate in requirements gathering, solution design discussions, and project planning sessions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and support ongoing solution enhancements.
- Create and maintain technical, operational, and user documentation.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, architects, consultants, and project teams to deliver client outcomes.
- Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and quality assurance practices.
- Stay current with Microsoft technologies and contribute to continuous learning initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience
- Required
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Eligibility to participate in a co-op or internship program.
- Basic programming knowledge through academic coursework, personal projects, or previous experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated curiosity and passion for technology.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Preferred
- Experience with one or more programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, Python, Java, or SQL.
- Exposure to databases, reporting tools, or data analytics concepts.
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies, Power Platform, Azure, Power BI, or SharePoint.
- Exposure to generative AI, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI services, AI agents, or responsible AI concepts.
- Experience working on school, personal, or team-based technology projects.
