Our company’s success is driven by our dynamic, highly-skilled and innovative management team, supported by dedicated employees who live in coastal communities and contribute to the local area’s economy and sense of community.

The Role

As a Freshwater Aquaculture Technician, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of our freshwater hatchery and the care of our fish throughout their early stages of development. This is a hands-on position working closely with the hatchery team to maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment while supporting the successful production and growth of our salmon.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring feed and oxygen
Completing water quality tests
Data collection and input
Daily farm routines
Clean and maintain equipment
Assist other aquaculture technicians in the operation of fish hatcheries.
Brood stock production and handling spawning, egg and fry production.
Feed aquaculture stocks, vaccinate stocks, and perform culling.
Operate, maintain, and clean pumps, filters, tanks and other aquaculture equipment.
Keep daily records of water chemistry and oxygen.
Grade and weigh aquaculture stocks.
Handle chemicals with necessary PPE. Includes mandatory FIT testing (respirators).

The ideal candidate will have completed aquaculture training from a recognized educational institute. This requirement may be substituted with sufficient hands-on experience in spawning, egg incubation and early rearing of salmon fry.

Previous experience with water quality testing would be considered an asset.

Join our team and enjoy the benefits of full-time year-round employment with competitive rates and a comprehensive benefits package tailored to support your well-being and career growth.

Benefits Package:

Health Benefits: Includes coverage for dental, vision, and extended medical care.
Insurance: Life and disability insurance provided for financial security.
Support Services: Access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

Time Off: Paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave for work-life balance.
Wellness: Wellness programs and access to on-site gym facilities (available in some locations).
Career Development: Professional growth opportunities and avenues for advancement.
Perks: Employee discounts on company products or services.

The Opportunity

The role description is just one part of the story. This is an opportunity to grow, to work within the parameters of the role but to reach your fullest potential. We are a team that is driven to succeed. We count performance, we reward contribution and we recognize talent. It is about being at the center of a growing, global leader in seafood and knowing you are part of that growth. The ability to bring your passion for learning, desire for growth and energy for moving your career forward is what we offer.
