What You’ll Be Doing Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver and pick up a fleet of pump and generator equipment (diesel generators and pumps of various voltages, dewatering and sewage pumps, etc.).   

• Load and unload equipment; secure loaded equipment per company safe work procedures and inspect in transit if necessary.

• Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records. 

• Perform vehicle inspections daily, as well as checking gas, oil and other fluid levels.

• Secure customer signature on contract, if not already signed. 

• Inform supervisor of difficulties with deliveries or pickups. 

• Inform management of new sales opportunities and job sites. 

• Double check delivered items to make sure customers receive exactly what they ordered. 

• Communicate with dispatch if behind schedule, so customers may be notified 

• If equipment is missing or broken upon pick up fill out the appropriate forms and get customer’s signature. Turn in these forms to Branch Manager, along with pick up sheets. Tag and move broken equipment to repair area. 

• Provide basic instruction to customers on the safe operation of equipment if necessary. 

What You’ll Bring to the Team Qualifications and Requirements:

• Valid Class DZ driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than three demerit points). You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request.    

• Comfortable with working outdoors year-round and driving in varying weather / road conditions.   

• Comfortable with manual transmission.

• Comfortable with city driving.

• Highly safety-focused and professional; take pride in your vehicle and your responsibility as a driver.    

• Experience with load securement and transportation of heavy equipment on flat-bed trucks is required.  

• Experience transporting / working with pump and power equipment is an asset

• Available and willing to work overtime when required and on an on-call rotation if required.  

• Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods. Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.

• Highly safety-focused and professional; take pride in your vehicle and your responsibility as a driver.   

• Flexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.   

• Excellent problem-solving and organization skills

• Strong team-player with effective communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and colleagues.

• Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with a team.

Pay Range:

$26.00 - $32.00 per Hour
