Original job description

Remote | Commission-Based | Copia Media Strategy Help Build It. Sell It. Grow With It. Copia Media Strategy is looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial Founding Account Executive to work directly alongside the Founder to build our client base and grow the business. This is not a traditional BDR role where leads simply land in your inbox. We're looking for someone who knows how to prospect, create conversations, build relationships and close business. The role will initially be commission-based, offering strong earning potential tied directly to the business you generate, with the opportunity to transition to a salary + commission structure as the company grows. What You'll Do Prospect and build relationships with startups and growing businesses Generate pipeline through email, LinkedIn, calling, referrals and networking Conduct discovery calls and uncover sales and growth challenges Position Copia's GTM, outbound, inbound and sales consulting solutions Manage opportunities from first conversation through close Maintain consistent follow-up and CRM activity Work directly with the Founder to test messaging, targeting and sales strategies Help refine the sales processes and playbook as Copia grows Who We're Looking For You have 5+ years of successful B2B sales or business development experience and know how to create opportunities, not just manage incoming leads. Bonus if you have an understanding of Agentic AI. We're looking for someone who is: Hungry. Competitive. Confident. Curious. Consultative. Persistent. Organized. You're comfortable prospecting, speaking with founders and decision-makers, handling objections and asking for the business. Most importantly, you're self-motivated and accountable. You don't need someone constantly telling you what to do next. Experience selling consulting, marketing, digital, technology or professional services is an asset. Why Copia Media? You'll work directly with the Founder and have the opportunity to influence how we approach the market, build pipeline and sell. Remote. Flexible. Performance-driven. You'll have the freedom to build your pipeline and directly benefit from the business you generate. As Copia Media establishes consistent revenue, there is potential for this position to evolve into a salary + commission role. Interested? If you're an experienced salesperson who enjoys prospecting, building relationships, closing and you're excited about helping grow an early-stage company. We would like to hear from you. Send your resume along with a brief note explaining what you've successfully sold and why a commission-based Founding AE opportunity interests you. Copia Media Strategy Build the strategy. Create the opportunities. Drive the growth.
