The Temporary Full-Time Safety Coordinator role is responsible for supporting and continuously improving the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management system. Based in Edmonton, the position serves as a key resource for safety-related matters and works closely with the QHSE Director to promote a safe, compliant, and productive work environment.

As a Safety Coordinator at Corrpro Canada …

WHAT YOU’RE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Provide health and safety support for both Canadian and U.S. operations across multiple worksites.
Conduct workplace inspections, hazard assessments, field observations, and jobsite audits to identify and mitigate risks.
Assist employees and supervisors in recognizing hazards and implementing appropriate safety controls.
Support investigations of incidents, near misses, and property damage, including tracking corrective actions to completion.
Maintain accurate safety records, reports, training documentation, statistics, and compliance databases.
Administer and maintain safety management systems and platforms such as SharePoint, WorkHub, ISNetworld, Avetta, and ComplyWorks.
Coordinate employee orientations, toolbox talks, safety training programs, competency tracking, and worker monitoring systems.
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, client standards, and contractor expectations through audits and inspections.
Assist in developing and reviewing safe work procedures, job hazard analyses, emergency response plans, and overall safety programs.
Provide professional safety guidance, injury management and return-to-work support, contractor onboarding assistance, and other safety-related duties while maintaining strict confidentiality and excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; proficiency in PowerPoint is an asset.
Post secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety is an asset
CRSP, CSP or CRST designation is an asset
Experience with OSHA Regulations is considered an asset
