As one of Alberta’s Top Employers for the past decade with one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures, we offer a workplace where you can grow, feel supported and make a meaningful difference. Camrose offers the charm of a smaller city with plenty to enjoy, like scenic trails, ski clubs and a vibrant arts and culture scene. At St. Mary’s Hospital, located right in the heart of the city, you will be part of a community-focused care team offering a wide range of services including a cancer centre, diagnostic imaging, surgery, women’s health and more. Reporting to the Unit Manager, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works to full scope of practice with our multidisciplinary health care team. Collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care and supporting patients and families. We welcome anyone who is highly motivated, organized and has a passion for post-operative care. Please note: Number of hours per shift and shifts per cycle is for information purposes only.

Description:

The role is committed to providing person-centred, culturally safe, and inclusive care that respects the diverse backgrounds, experiences, values, and needs of patients/residents and families. The LPN contributes to a culture of learning and professional practice excellence by orienting, coaching, mentoring, and supporting the development of staff, students, and learners. The role promotes knowledge sharing and collaborative practice to enhance individual, team, and organizational effectiveness. The LPN fosters an inclusive learning environment that encourages respectful engagement and equitable opportunities for growth and development. The LPN demonstrates leadership within their scope of practice by coordinating care activities, supporting effective team functioning, and contributing to quality improvement and patient/resident safety initiatives. The incumbent fosters professional relationships with patients/residents, families, colleagues, physicians, and other members of the health care team, promoting a culture of respect, collaboration, and belonging. The LPN practices in accordance with applicable legislation, regulatory standards, professional ethics, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies, and procedures of Covenant Health.
