Description:
The Social Worker I performs work of limited scope and complexity which generally involves gathering and documenting client information, providing basic client support, making client referrals to agencies. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 408 St. Joseph's Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Diploma in Social Work from an accredited program is required. Registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW) is required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish effective relationships with patients, families, caregivers and members of the healthcare team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Social Work experience in a healthcare setting, with experience in acute care, continuing care, community healthcare, palliative care, hospice or end-of-life care considered an asset.
