Original job description
The mission of the Accounts Payable Analyst at Cozey
Reporting to Laurent Dumouchel, Director of Finance & Accounting, the mission of the Accounts Payable Analyst is to keep Cozey’s accounts payable accurate, timely and well controlled. You’ll make sure our vendors are paid correctly and on time, and help us build smarter, more automated processes as we grow. Along the way, you’ll get hands-on exposure to finance operations across Canada, the US and Australia.
What you’ll be doing
- Review and process vendor invoices accurately and on schedule, spotting discrepancies early and working with internal stakeholders to resolve them before they turn into delays.
- Onboard new vendors and maintain accurate master data, including setting up vendor accounts and system access when new locations open, so each site can run from day one.
- Own the payables inbox, answering vendor questions and requests promptly to keep supplier relationships strong.
- Contribute to the month-end close, including full ownership of credit card reconciliation.
- Find ways to automate and simplify our payables processes, including by leveraging AI, so the function scales as Cozey grows.
- Improve the accuracy and reliability of our payables data over time, giving Finance clearer visibility on what we owe and when.
We’d love to hear from you if you have
- 0–3 years of experience in accounts payable or another finance function.
- Experience with an ERP; NetSuite is a strong asset.
- Basic knowledge of accounting; exposure to tax is a plus.
- A sharp eye for detail, a high standard for accuracy, and discretion with sensitive and confidential information.
- Clear, professional communication skills in French and English.
- Comfort in a collaborative, process-driven environment where things move quickly.
We care about you
- You will receive a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefit package.
- Endless opportunities for personal and professional growth in a fast-growing start-up.
- A generous PTO policy that allows you the time you need to recharge.
- A role where your strategies and decisions directly influence the company’s operations and growth.
- A workspace where everyone is welcomed, heard, and valued.
Please note that we may use AI-powered tools to support parts of our hiring process, such as application screening and interview coordination. These tools help us focus our time where it matters most: getting to know candidates. All hiring decisions are made by people, and we’re committed to a fair and inclusive process.
