PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Specialist Facility Management provides planning, financial oversight, and administrative leadership across key Facilities functions, including Project Management Office (PMO) support, Real Estate Planning, Lease-In Management, Utility Management, and National Vendor Management. The role ensures effective governance, financial accountability, process compliance, and operational efficiency while supporting capital projects, lease administration, vendor relationships, utility expenditures, and revenue-generating real estate activities. The position acts as a central coordination point between internal stakeholders, external vendors, landlords, utility providers, and finance teams to support CPKC's strategic objectives and drive continuous improvement across Facilities operations.
This position can be located in Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto or Montreal.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Support the planning and execution of annual and multi-year capital and expense initiatives
- Provide project management support, including project tracking, cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting
- Prepare governance documentation, including IFRs and AFEs, to support project approvals
- Review vendor contracts and monitor commitments against budgets and forecasts
- Develop and maintain project, financial, and performance reporting
- Coordinate with Project Planning and stakeholders to support project delivery and budget compliance
- Reconcile lease commitments and rent payments to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Provide analytical support for Facilities projects, utilities, leasing, and other operational initiatives
- Support lease administration activities, including contract reviews, reporting, and SAP lease management
- Assist with utility management, expenditure tracking, and sustainability reporting
- Support vendor management initiatives and identify process improvement opportunities
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong analytical, organizational, and process management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- SAP/ERP experience preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; SAP BPC experience is an asset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across functions
- Ability to work independently and effectively with diverse stakeholders

Management Conductor Program
Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
