Original job description
The Role
You are the hands-on leader and heartbeat of the operation. You will oversee the team, guest experience, housekeeping, maintenance, systems and daily financial performance.
This is not a remote or desk-based management role. You will be regularly present at the hotel, connected to employees and willing to step into any area when needed. That may include checking in guests, inspecting or cleaning rooms, supporting housekeeping, restocking supplies or helping resolve maintenance issues.
A major focus of this role is employee relations. You will build trust, keep employees engaged and motivated, recognize good work, address concerns early and hold the team accountable to clear standards.
Crash Hotel operates 24/7. The manager is responsible for creating reliable systems and team coverage for after-hours needs. However, as the senior operational leader, you are also the last line of defence when a serious guest, staffing, safety, security or property issue cannot be resolved by the team. This requires reasonable after-hours availability and a willingness to step in personally when necessary. There will be two days a week that you are required to be on-call for emergencies.
