Fresh Produce Sales Specialist – Chinese Market
Creative Impex Ltd | Richmond, BC
Creative Impex Ltd imports and distributes fresh fruits and vegetables across Canada. We are seeking an experienced Chinese-speaking sales professional to grow our customer base, build strong business relationships, and drive daily fresh-produce sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop sales with Chinese-speaking wholesalers, grocery stores, supermarkets, restaurants, and other produce buyers.
- Build relationships with new customers and maintain existing accounts.
- Promote daily inventory, share pricing and availability, secure orders, and follow up with customers.
- Understand customer needs and recommend products based on quality, seasonality, availability, and price.
- Communicate with Chinese suppliers and support coordination on product specifications, packing, quality, and availability.
- Work closely with our purchasing, warehouse, and delivery teams to fulfil orders accurately and on time.
- Monitor market demand, competitor pricing, and sales opportunities.
- Maintain accurate customer records and work toward agreed sales targets.
Qualifications
- Strong Chinese-language communication skills for business conversations with suppliers and customers. Please specify the languages or dialects you speak, such as Mandarin or Cantonese.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with our team and customers.
- Previous experience in fresh-fruit and vegetable sales, produce wholesale, or produce distribution.
- Knowledge of Chinese suppliers and the Chinese-speaking customer market; an established industry network is a strong advantage.
- Understanding of perishable products, daily stock movement, quality standards, and the importance of timely sales.
- Strong negotiation, customer-service, and relationship-building skills.
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced produce business.
