Original job description
Credit Genie is a mobile-first financial wellness platform designed to help individuals take control of their financial future. We leverage artificial intelligence to provide personalized insights and are building a financial ecosystem by offering tools and services that provide instant access to cash, and building credit. Our goal is to empower every customer to achieve long-term financial stability.
Founded in 2019 by Ed Harycki, former Swift Capital Founder (acquired by PayPal in 2017). Backed by Khosla Ventures and led by industry pioneers from companies such as; PayPal, Square, and Cash App, we are well positioned to build the future of inclusive finance through cutting-edge technology and customer-centric solutions.
Overview
Credit Genie is hiring a People Business Partner to shape how we evaluate performance, develop talent, and reward meaningful results. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will advise leaders on critical people decisions and build the programs and agentic workflows that support them.
Your primary focus will be helping leaders evaluate contribution, develop their teams, and reward meaningful results. You will carry the same approach across the employee experience, building agentic AI workflows into the programs and processes you own. This is an individual contributor role with responsibility for both advising leaders and turning improvements into reliable ways of working.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders to set clear performance expectations, strengthen management practices, and connect talent and reward decisions to business priorities. Use reliable people data and AI-assisted analysis to identify gaps and inform recommendations.
- Design and run performance reviews, calibration, and promotion processes, building agentic workflows that collect and validate inputs, prepare decision materials, coordinate approvals, and follow through on outcomes.
- Shape and deliver salary, bonus, equity, and recognition programs with the Chief People Officer and Finance. Connect market data, individual contribution, internal consistency, and company priorities, using automation to support analysis, scenario modeling, and the implementation of approved decisions.
- Coach managers through feedback, development, and underperformance, turning insights from performance and reward cycles into clear actions and following through on progress.
- Own benefits administration and immigration coordination, using agentic workflows to automate routine work and partnering with providers and counsel on complex cases.
- Connect onboarding, offboarding, and payroll to accurate employee records, automating approved data changes, validation, and reconciliation. Test and monitor workflows, protect sensitive information, and resolve exceptions, measuring improvements in accuracy, turnaround time, and manual effort.
- Experience in People business partnering, operations, or program leadership, with direct ownership of performance and rewards programs in a growing business.
- Strong business judgment and credibility with leaders, including experience coaching managers through performance, compensation, organizational, and sensitive employee decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to build and operate agentic AI workflows. You can explain the problem you addressed, what you implemented, where human judgment remained necessary, and the results.
- Analytical and technical fluency across compensation data, spreadsheets, HR systems, and integrations. Experience with low-code tools, APIs, SQL, or scripting is useful.
- Clear communication, deliberate prioritization, and ownership from problem definition through adoption and improvement. You handle sensitive information with discretion and work effectively with Finance, IT, service providers, and counsel.
