About Cronometer Cronometer helps people make informed decisions about their health and wellness using nutrition data they can trust. We build software for people and professionals who want a clearer picture of what they eat and how it supports their goals.
The role We are hiring an Associate Product Manager to help improve the experience of people using Cronometer. You will report to the Product Team Manager and work with other product managers and partners across Engineering, Design, QA, Marketing, and Customer Support. Your manager and senior product colleagues will provide coaching as you build product judgment and delivery skills.
Early in the role, you will support clearly defined features and improvements. As you build context, you will take ownership of scoped work with guidance, from understanding the user problem through launch and learning afterward. Assignments may span product areas; their complexity and the support available will match your experience.
What you will do
- Help identify product opportunities using customer feedback, product data, and conversations with users. As part of discovery, contact and interview users with support from your team.
- Work with your manager and teammates to define the user problem, desired outcome, success measures, requirements, and appropriate scope for assigned work.
- Write clear requirements and acceptance criteria, document decisions, and keep owners and next steps visible as work moves forward.
- Coordinate clearly scoped features or improvements with Engineering, Design, and QA; surface blockers, quality concerns, and trade-offs early.
- Partner with Marketing and Customer Support on launch preparation and communication where relevant.
- Review available metrics and user feedback after release, share what the team learned, and recommend practical follow-up.
What you bring
- Experience contributing to digital product work through product management or a related field such as product operations, design, analytics, quality assurance, or customer support.
- Ability to organize details, communicate clearly in writing and conversation, and follow through on commitments across teams.
- Comfort using customer feedback and basic product metrics to understand a problem and explain a recommendation.
- Curiosity about users, openness to feedback, and good judgment about when to ask for help or escalate a risk.
Helpful experience Experience with mobile or web products, user interviews, agile product development, experimentation, or nutrition and health technology is helpful, but you do not need all of these to apply.
What success looks like In your first year, you have spoken directly with users, helped deliver clearly scoped improvements, kept partners informed, and used feedback and results to explain what worked and what the team should learn next. You are taking on more ownership while recognizing when a decision needs broader input.
