Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our dynamic Small Business department.

You’ll play a key role in supporting our clients by preparing accurate financial statements, year-end working papers, and tax returns under the guidance of our senior accountants.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of compilation and non-compiled financial statements in accordance with firm and regulatory standards for clients in a variety of small and medium-sized businesses and non-profit enterprises
Assist in preparing supporting working-paper files for fiscal year-ends
Assist in preparing T2 corporate income tax returns
Assist in preparing T3 estate and trust returns
Assist in preparing T5013 partnership returns
Assist in preparing T1 personal income tax returns
Collaborate effectively with team members to provide professional client-service excellence

What You Bring

University degree with a concentration in Accounting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English
Strong commitment to professional client-service excellence
Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Current knowledge of emerging topics in accounting and taxation
A high level of motivation and a desire for professional growth
