About Canadian Strategic Missions Corp. (CSMC)

Canadian Strategic Missions Corporation is building the capabilities that will shape Canada's future in space, defence, and energy. We focus on developing dual use systems that address critical challenges here on Earth while enabling sustained human activity beyond it.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute marketing and communications initiatives that support CSMC’s mission, business objectives and external profile.
Translate complex engineering, nuclear, defence and space concepts into clear, compelling communications for government, partners, investors and other external audiences.
Create high-quality content across presentations, reports, proposals, website, social media, announcements and other corporate communications.
Develop visual and branded materials using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva or equivalent.
Maintain CSMC’s brand and visual identity across channels, ensuring consistency and quality across external-facing materials.
Support PR and external communications, including press releases, media materials, company announcements and stakeholder communications.
Partner closely with engineering, business development and leadership to develop proposals, RFP responses, presentations and strategic communications.
Manage CSMC’s digital presence, including website content, social media and targeted campaigns.
Coordinate multimedia content including photography, video, animation and technical visuals, working with external partners where appropriate.
Manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
Ensure communications comply with applicable security, controlled-goods and export-control requirements.
Operate with a builder mindset, comfortable working in ambiguity, taking initiative and moving between planning and hands-on execution.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in marketing, communications, PR, content or a related field.
Agency experience is strongly preferred, particularly within a communications, PR, integrated marketing or creative agency environment.
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate complex or technical concepts clearly and persuasively.
Strong visual and design skills with hands-on experience creating presentations, digital content and branded materials.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva or similar design tools.
Experience developing content across multiple formats and channels, including digital, social, presentations and external communications.
Familiarity with PR, media relations and corporate communications.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines.
Comfortable working directly with senior leaders and technical subject-matter experts.
Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment.
Experience in defence, aerospace, nuclear, energy, engineering or another technical or regulated industry is an asset, but not required.
