Original job description
Thinker Wanted.
At Cube Construction Ltd., we don’t build cookie-cutter structures. We run heavy institutional, government, and commercial builds - often in isolated environments where a single logistics flaw or safety oversight halts an entire project.
Before looking at requirements, answer this:
The Puzzle:You have a time-sensitive government build 500 km north of Edmonton. Winter roads are closing early due to unseasonal warmth, a high-spec critical shipment is delayed at customs, and a mandatory QA/QC inspection is set for Friday. In 3 sentences or less, what are your first three moves?
What You’ll Handle
- Team Leadership & Coordination: Direct Project Coordinators, collaborate daily with Site Superintendents, and align sub-trades to keep the field moving.
- Owner & Consultant Representation: Act as the primary face of Cube Construction in high-stakes owner, consultant, and government stakeholder meetings.
- Heavy Logistics & Remote Access: Manage material pipelines, freight transport, and site staging for isolated jobs.
- Strict Specs & Compliance: Navigate complex public-sector specs, government procedures, and uncompromising COR safety standards.
- Mastering Schedule & Tech: Drive critical-path planning, cost controls, and software workflows (MS Project, Procore).
- 8+ Years Experience: Direct PM history with a General Contractor on institutional/Government or commercial builds.
- Base: Edmonton office-based with site travel as needed.
- Mindset: Extreme accountability, sharp communication, and poise under pressure.
