Original job description

Reformer Pilates Instructor

Location: Scarborough, Toronto

Position: Contract | On-site

Pay: $40–$50 per/hr, depending on experience

Schedule: Weekly classes, with openings between 6:00–10:00 a.m. and 4:00–6:00 p.m.

Culture Studios is a movement space and everything around it. Based in Scarborough, we bring people together through Reformer Pilates, mat Pilates, yoga and spin. We’re looking for a Reformer Pilates Instructor to join our growing team.

We’re looking for someone who knows how to lead a thoughtful, well-programmed class and make people feel comfortable in the room. You’re confident working with different experience levels, attentive to form and excited to help clients build strength and confidence on the reformer.

What you’ll do

Plan and lead engaging, creative reformer classes for clients with different levels of experience.
Provide clear, interactive instruction and offer corrections, modifications, progressions and regressions where needed.
Use your knowledge of anatomy and movement to guide clients safely and effectively.
Welcome and check in clients before class.
Ensure clients wipe down their equipment and reset their reformers after class.
Open the studio for morning classes when scheduled.

What we’re looking for

Reformer Pilates certification from a recognized institution.
A strong understanding of human anatomy, movement and proper form.
A friendly, interactive teaching style and the ability to connect with clients.
Creative programming that keeps classes thoughtful and engaging through progressions and regressions for different abilities and experience levels.
Reliability and availability for consistent weekly classes.

Two or more years of teaching experience is an asset, but not required. We’d love to hear from newer instructors who bring strong knowledge, care and confidence to their teaching.

How to apply

Please send your résumé to info@culturesstudio.com. We’ll reach out to selected applicants with further instructions.
