CultureSmith has partnered with TARA Energy Services to recruit an experienced Manager, Corporate Finance to join their Calgary-based team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CPA and finance leader who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with people leadership, financial analysis, and continuous improvement.

Founded in 2013, TARA Energy Services has established itself as a leading provider of specialized production testing equipment and field services, supporting some of the largest oil and gas producers across North America.

The Opportunity

As Manager, Corporate Finance, you'll play a key leadership role within TARA's Accounting and Finance team, overseeing financial operations across Canadian and US entities while supporting executive leadership with meaningful financial insights.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead financial reporting, month-end close, and accounting operations.
• Oversee and develop the Accounts Payable and Financial Accounting teams.
• Manage multi-entity accounting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Support cash flow forecasting, treasury, and financial planning activities.
• Prepare executive, Board, and private equity reporting.
• Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and operational efficiencies.

What We're Looking For

• CPA designation with approximately 5–7+ years of post-designation experience.
• Proven accounting and finance leadership experience.
• Strong technical accounting, financial reporting, and analytical capabilities.
• Experience working within complex, multi-entity business environments.
• A hands-on, collaborative leadership style with strong business acumen.
• Experience in energy services, oil and gas, or industrial operations is an asset.
• NetSuite and private equity reporting experience are considered assets.
