Project Manager

This position is a HYBRID position, Toronto, long term contract.

Our client is looking for a Sr PM with experience in data migration to Snowflake and Agile software development life cycle. The goal is to migrate data from current environments and develop business applications.

Senior Project Manager to lead a strategic technology transformation initiative involving the migration of enterprise data to Snowflake and the delivery of business applications using Agile development methodologies.

The successful candidate will partner closely with technology, data, and business teams to oversee end-to-end project execution, ensuring successful migration of data assets, delivery of new capabilities, and adoption of Agile software development practices. This role requires a strong blend of technical project leadership, stakeholder management, and software delivery experience within complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise data migration initiatives focused on moving data from legacy and current-state environments to Snowflake.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from planning through deployment and post-production support.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements, priorities, timelines, and success metrics.
• Drive Agile software development practices across cross-functional delivery teams.
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog management, release planning, and status reporting activities.
• Coordinate resources across development, data engineering, testing, architecture, and business teams.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
• Establish governance, reporting, and executive-level communications for project stakeholders.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality, security, regulatory, and operational standards.
• Support change management and adoption activities associated with new data platforms and business applications.

Required Qualifications

• 5 -10 years of project management experience leading complex technology initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale data migration projects.
• Hands-on experience delivering Snowflake implementation or migration programs.
• Strong experience working within Agile software development environments.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Experience managing cross-functional technology teams including developers, data engineers, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Experience with project governance, status reporting, budget management, and risk management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within financial services, wealth management, capital markets, banking, or asset servicing environments.
• Scrum Master, PMP, SAFe, or Agile certifications.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and modern data architecture.
• Familiarity with data transformation, ETL, data governance, and reporting solutions.
• Experience supporting organizational transition from waterfall to Agile delivery models.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has successfully led both:

1. Large-scale data migration programs involving Snowflake.
2. Agile software application development projects where they managed development teams throughout the SDLC.
