Original job description

We're working with one of the fastest-growing companies in cybersecurity. In a few years they've gone from zero to a valuation in the billions. They're backed by top-tier investors, and Fortune 100 companies trust them. Leadership has built and scaled some of the biggest names in the industry. They're now building their North America engineering team from scratch, and this is one of the first senior seats.

The role

You'll be the senior engineer on a talented, early-career team. You'll own critical file flows end to end and set the technical direction and the engineering bar. You'll also help the engineers around you grow quickly. This is product engineering on a live, high-scale security platform, not DevOps or SRE.

What you'll do

  • Own file protection flows end to end, from design and build through rollout and production
  • Mentor and level up engineers through code reviews, design discussions and hands-on pairing
  • Dig into complex production and customer issues, find the root cause and fix it for good
  • Improve the reliability, performance and maintainability of a core system that enterprise customers depend on
  • Work closely with product, support and engineering teams in North America

What we're looking for

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience building and owning production systems
  • A track record of mentoring engineers and raising the bar for a team
  • You take initiative, own problems without being asked and see things through
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting instincts in complex, distributed environments
  • Clear communication and high engineering standards

Tech stack: TypeScript and .NET. Language isn't the deciding factor: strong engineers who can pick up the stack quickly are welcome.

Why join

  • A founding seat in a new North America engineering org at a category-defining company
  • Real ownership of a system every enterprise file passes through
  • Competitive salary plus very meaningful equity
