Original job description

English section of this bilingual listing.

At Pratt & Whitney, we believe that powered flight has transformed, and will continue to transform, the world. That's why we work with an explorer's heart and a perfectionist's drive to design, manufacture and support the world's most advanced and reliable aircraft engines. Our diverse portfolio - including commercial, military, business, general aviation, regional and helicopter engines - enables us and our customers to move from the possible to the real. That's how we at Pratt & Whitney approach our work and what inspires us to excel.

Our Expectations – Candidate with below skills

As a Methodist, you will be responsible for developing manufacturing methods for all P&WC engine programs mostly involving components (turbines, compressors, combustors.). You will have the opportunity to work with a team of approximately 60 method agents, NC programmers, special process specialists and CMM inspection specialists. Candidate should be willing to work 100% at site at location – P&WC office, 1000 Bd Marie-Victorin, Longueuil, QC J4G 1A1.

What will your daily life be like?

You will be a member of a team whose responsibility is to make the dream of engineering a reality in the plant. In fact, the team starts with the design received from engineering, then defines the manufacturing methods and selects the machines that will be used in the plant. Thus, your daily tasks will be :

· Review the engineering design to validate the manufacturing process of the part;

· Define the manufacturing strategy (processes used, sequencing, etc.);

· Order the required tooling, collaborate with the tool design team;

· Write the manufacturing routines;

· Technical support for production lines;

· Participate in the purchase of manufacturing equipment;

· Project management.

Required Skills

· 0 -2 years of experience.

· An academic background in mechanical engineering or aerospace manufacturing at the college or university level is required (or equivalent experience).

· Candidate should be either Canadian citizen or a Permanent resident.

· Language proficiency in both French & English

Desired Skills

· Experience as a method agent or NC programmer is an important asset.

· Candidate living in Canada since past 5 years will be preferred.

· Basic Knowledge of Catia V5.

What you need to succeed

The candidate we are looking for is, like us, passionate about manufacturing. He/she is a good team player, is committed to continuous improvement and is comfortable in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

An academic background in mechanical engineering or aerospace manufacturing at the college or university level is required (or equivalent experience).

Experience as a method agent or NC programmer is an important asset.

A good command of French is required.

A good command of English is an asset.

You are interested in the challenge proposed and you correspond to the description presented? We look forward to meeting you!

The masculine gender is used indiscriminately and solely for the purpose of lightening the text. P&WC is committed to employment equity and to encouraging diversity and inclusion. We are pleased to consider all qualified applicants for employment, regardless of race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status

· Faire une revue de la conception de l’ingénierie pour en valider la mise en fabrication de la pièce;

· Définir la stratégie de fabrication (procédés utilisées, séquencement, etc.);

· Commander l’outillage requis, collaborer avec l’équipe de conception d’outil;

· Rédiger les gammes de fabrication;

· Support technique aux lignes de production;

· Participer à l’achat d'équipement de fabrication;
