What You’ll Do

You’ll be the technician for commercial fire suppression systems. Responsibilities include:

Install, inspect, test, service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial kitchen fire suppression systems and related components.
Install and commission new systems, including agent cylinders/tanks, piping, nozzles, detection lines, fusible links, mechanical release mechanisms, and associated components.
Perform system testing and verify proper activation, shutdowns, and gas/electrical interlocks.
Diagnose system deficiencies and complete required repairs, component replacements, upgrades, and preventative maintenance.
Ensure all work complies with applicable NFPA standards, fire codes, manufacturer requirements, safety regulations, and company quality standards.
Complete accurate and professional service reports, inspection records, work orders, and compliance documentation.
Communicate inspection findings, deficiencies, repairs, and recommendations clearly and professionally to customers.
Assist with quoting, estimating, and identifying service, repair, replacement, and small-project opportunities.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment and follow all company and job-site safety procedures.
Participate in on-call rotations and travel to customer sites as required.

This role combines hands-on technical work, problem-solving, customer interaction, and opportunities to take ownership of projects.

What You Bring

Minimum
2+ years of field experience in fire suppression, mechanical, HVAC or related trades

Mechanically inclined and comfortable with basic electrical systems

Strong safety mindset and attention to detail

Professionalism and customer-service orientation

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, travel, and on-call assignments

Valid driver’s license

Knowledge of NFPA standards and fire codes preferred

Fire service certifications or suppression training considered an asset
