About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Analyst, Finance Operations to join our growing Finance team. This role focuses on core Accounts Payable responsibilities, with exposure to Treasury operations, supporting daily payment execution and operational purchasing across the organization.

You will support full-cycle payables processing under the guidance of senior team members, while also assisting with treasury activities including payment runs, cash forecasting inputs, and bank reconciliations. This position plays an important role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations across a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.

The ideal candidate brings solid accounting fundamentals, strong attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn. You are comfortable with high-volume transactional work and motivated to grow your understanding of process enhancements, controls, and financial systems.

What you'll do

  • Support the full-cycle accounts payable process, including processing high-volume, multi-currency invoices with 2-way and 3-way matching.
  • Ensure accurate proper cost center allocation, and compliance with internal controls and approval policies.
  • Support non-engineering purchasing activities, including PO setup, vendor onboarding, and invoice-to-PO alignment.
  • Help resolve invoice discrepancies, approval bottlenecks, and vendor inquiries, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Maintain vendor master data and ensure compliance with tax and documentation requirements (e.g., W-8/W-9).
  • Perform vendor reconciliations and investigate aging items to ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist with weekly payment runs (EFT, ACH, wire, cheque), ensuring accuracy, proper authorization, and alignment with company cash flow considerations.
  • Support sales tax (GST/PST) and 1099/T4 filings as applicable.
  • Assist with the preparation of domestic and international wire payments in coordination with approval matrices and internal controls.
  • Assist with daily cash positioning and provide inputs into short-term cash forecasting.
  • Support bank account administration, including user access management and documentation.
  • Follow and help maintain payment controls to mitigate fraud and operational risk.
  • Assist with intercompany funding transactions and multi-entity cash settlements.
  • Support audit requests related to AP and treasury processes.
  • Help identify opportunities to streamline and automate AP and treasury workflows.
  • Maintain dashboards/reports tracking key metrics such as Aging Reports, Days Payable Outstanding, payment cycle times, and cash movement summaries.

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration (or equivalent experience)
  • 1+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Treasury, or a related finance function; co-op and internship experience will be considered.
  • Working knowledge of payment processing, cash management, and internal control environments.
  • Exposure to multi-entity and multi-currency environments is an asset.
  • Exposure to ERP systems (NetSuite an asset) and procurement/payment platforms (Airbase or similar).
  • Familiarity with online banking platforms and treasury management processes is an asset.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, basic pivot tables, lookups); familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) is an asset.
  • Foundational understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and support vendor relationships.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and execution skills.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and eagerness to grow with a scaling organization.
