Director, Growth Marketing

Own the systems that put Morpheus on the buyer's shortlist before the buyer talks to anyone.

WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS:

Security buyers decide before they engage. They build a shortlist from what ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google tell them, what peers say at the chapter meeting, what their reseller recommends and what the review sites show.

In 6sense's 2025 study of more than 4,000 B2B buyers, 95% bought from that day-one shortlist and

buyers made the first contact 79% of the time. By the time a SOC leader fills in a demo form, the decision is usually most of the way made.

D3 Security builds Morpheus, an agentic SOC platform used by managed security providers and enterprise security teams. The buyers who evaluate Morpheus like what they find; too few of them find it early enough. That is the job: build and run the demand system that makes D3 the answer buyers find - in AI answers, on the third-party pages those answers cite, in the security community and through our partners - and turn it into pipeline we can trace.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN:

Five systems, each with one named owner on your team, each reviewed weekly.

1. Answer-engine program.

The research library, comparison and alternative pages, a technical FAQ that answers what buyers ask AI assistants, inclusion on the review sites, listicles and analyst evaluations those assistants cite, and a weekly visibility check with fixes shipped the same week. Led by a Technical

Content & GEO Lead, with our President as editor-in-chief.

2. Seller and partner arming. Segment kits, migration content for teams leaving legacy SOAR platforms, partner enablement clips and MSSP economics one-pagers - material that sellers and partners

actually send.

3. Self-serve demo layer. An interactive product tour, a demo video library, transparent tier guidance and a clear path to a scoped trial, so a buyer can qualify us without a call and reach us in one click when they want one.

4. Field and community program. The ISSA, BSides and ISC2 chapter circuit our regional reps work, regional sponsorships, CISO dinners, our MSSP advisory council, and an instrumented presence at the few national events that earn it.

•5. Measurement, with Revenue Operations. Cost per meeting, per POC start and per win by source; attribution coverage; the signal stack that tells sales who is in market this quarter. The Head of Revenue Operations owns HubSpot; you live in the same numbers.

WHAT YOU WILL BE MEAUSURED ON:

Three numbers, reviewed every Monday with the President, the Director of Sales and the Head of Revenue Operations:

Proof-of-concept starts traced to marketing.

Meetings that occur with target accounts that marketing sourced or armed.

The share of category answers in AI assistants and search in which D3 is named, described accurately and cited.

Not MQLs, badge scans, impressions or follower counts. Your bonus is tied to these three numbers.

YOUR FIRST YEAR:

90 days. The five systems staffed with a named owner each; the weekly AI-visibility check running with fixes shipping; the first segment kit in sellers' hands; a baseline for cost per meeting and per POC start by source.

6 months. The research library releasing a paper a month; comparison and FAQ pages updated twice a week; the self-serve demo layer live; the community program instrumented so we know which chapters produce meetings.

12 months. Marketing is a traceable source of POC starts and a measured share of AI answers,

with a cost per POC start you can defend to a CFO - and our President is reviewing flagship content rather than writing the website.

WHAT YOU BRING:

Four or more years in B2B software marketing, at least three leading demand or growth marketing in cybersecurity or infrastructure software, selling to security or IT-operations practitioners.

A record of pipeline accountability. You have carried a sourced-pipeline number and can walk us

through the funnel, the cost per stage and what you changed when it missed.

Fluency in how buyers research today - AI assistants, review sites, communities, partner

recommendations - and at least one program you ran that measurably changed how a company

showed up there.

Content judgement. You can edit a technical piece for a SOC audience, brief a subject-matter expert and run an AI-assisted content pipeline (spec, draft, simplify, verify) without letting it publish anything untrue.

Working knowledge of HubSpot or an equivalent, attribution models and intent data; the habit of

reading a pipeline report and disagreeing with it.

Experience marketing with and through channel partners and MSSPs is a strong plus, as is experience in a company where an executive is the technical voice of the brand.
