Position Summary

This role sits within a Global Financial Reporting team. The Accounts Payable Associate will support the Finance team with the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, and related accounting records; across multiple global entities. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate and organized A/P records, resolving vendor and invoice discrepancies, communicating and collaborating with internal teams and assisting with month-end activities. This role is designed for someone beginning an accounting career and offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional growth.

What You’ll Do

Receive, review, code, and enter vendor invoices into the ERP
Verify invoice details, approvals, pricing, quantities, and applicable taxes.
Process credit card expense reports and credit card transactions as required.
Prepare vendor payments and assist with payment runs.
Maintain accurate vendor files and update vendor information when authorized.
Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices, payment status, and account balances.
Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
Assist with month-end and year-end accounts payable activities.
Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting records.
Ensure transactions are processed in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation when required.
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

What You Bring

Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 1–2 years of accounts payable, bookkeeping, or related accounting experience is an asset.
Understanding of accounting principles and A/P processes.
Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Experience with accounting or ERP software is an asset.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Professional approach when communicating with vendors and internal stakeholders.
