Position Purpose
To serve as the first contact with the Health Service for students and visitors by responding to questions and inquiries on a broad range of clinical and administrative issues by telephone or in person.

Required Qualifications
Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Competency with standard computer applications, including e-mail.

Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a health care setting preferred.

Prior Experience With Computerized Appointment System Preferred.

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities
Appointment Office: Monitors daily electronic scheduling system and schedules appointments via phone, email and walk-ins for a busy outpatient clinic. (50%)

Medical Records: Acts as a customer service representative and assists in annual pre-arrival project with duties as assigned by MR/R supervisor, including data entry in the EMR , assisting with releases of information following HIPAA confidentiality policies, scans protected health information to the medical records system, receives cash and credit card payments for payable services. (50%)

Demonstrates professionalism and collegiality through actions, interactions, and communications with others appropriate to an environment that is welcoming to all.
Performs other duties as assigned.
