Relocate to New York on a TN Visa to be at the centre of major Financial Markets where the opportunities for kdb+ are limitless.

We’re looking for experienced kdb+/q engineers across Canada who are open to relocating to New York under a TN visa. This is a chance to work on high‑performance systems powering real‑time trading, risk and market data at global scale. You’ll be solving complex problems whilst collaborating with top-tier engineers and front‑office stakeholders.

Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

Collaborating with business users to define new application requirements.
Developing, testing, and maintaining clean, performant code for client applications.
Supporting project delivery alongside Project Managers and senior developers.
Working as part of a close-knit team to deliver solutions on time and on budget.
Analysing large-scale time-series data and generating actionable reports.
Mentoring junior developers and contributing to a culture of learning.

Qualifications

What You Bring

2+ years of hands-on kdb+ development experience.
Solid understanding of q language and time-series data structures.
Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with software development methodologies and the SDLC.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team.
Excellent client-facing communication skills.
Prior experience of working in Capital Markets/Investment Banking is a plus but not essential

Bonus Skills (Not Required):

Experience in Capital Markets or Investment Banking.
Knowledge of Python, cloud platforms, or other time-series databases.
Exposure to project leadership or people management.
Contribution to internal tools, documentation, or community initiatives.
