What will you do:

With support, coaching, and mentorship from a Journeyman Autobody Technician, during your apprenticeship you will learn:

• Repair vehicles per estimates and according to manufacturer standards
• Repair and replace front-end components, body components, doors and frames and underbody components
• File, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired
• Repair and replace interior and exterior components of vehicles
• Hammer out dents, buckles, and other defects from body panels
• Remove damaged fenders, panels, grills, and bolts or weld replacement parts into place.
• Repair or replace windows, windshields, and sunroofs
• Straighten bent frames as required
• Inspect repair vehicles and test-drive vehicles for proper handling
• Other duties as assigned

Who you are:

• Preference will be given to those who have started their autobody apprenticeship; however, we are willing to start an apprenticeship for the right person
• An understanding of vehicle components
• Strong attention to detail to ensure vehicle repairs are completed correctly
• Strong teamwork skills to be able to work effectively with technicians and employees within the department
• A valid driver’s license
• The ability to perform heavy work, including frequent lifting of more than 50 lbs
  
  

Compensation details: 18-26 Hourly Wage
