Development Lead – AWS / Angular / Full Stack

We are currently seeking a Development Lead to join our dynamic team and work with one of our client, a leading bank in Canada

Contract duration: 6 months with strong possibility of extension

Role type: Hybrid (2 days /week in office required)

This role will be responsible for guiding the development team, collaborating closely with business and technical stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing technical direction and guidance.
• Design and develop scalable, high-performance applications using Angular and AWS.
• Lead the development and enhancement of digital wallet applications and UI experiences.
• Work extensively with Angular-based wallet applications, ensuring responsive, intuitive, and secure user interfaces.
• Contribute to both front-end and back-end development as a hands-on Full Stack technical lead.
• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, architects, QA teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions and help establish development standards and best practices.
• Review code, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure adherence to quality and security standards.
• Support application integration with backend services, APIs, cloud services, and mobile platforms.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and aligned with business requirements.
• Communicate project status, technical risks, dependencies, and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Development Lead, Technical Lead, or Senior Full Stack Developer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Angular and modern front-end development.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-based application development.
• Experience developing digital wallet applications or wallet-related UI solutions is highly desirable.
• Experience working with Angular for wallet applications and related financial or transaction-based user interfaces.
• Strong Full Stack development experience, including front-end, backend services, APIs, and database integration.
• Experience working with mobile applications or mobile-focused solutions is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, APIs, security, and application integration.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with developers, architects, product teams, business stakeholders, and senior management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in digital payments, financial services, banking, or fintech.
• Experience with payment/wallet technologies and transaction processing.
• Experience designing secure applications involving sensitive financial or customer data.
• AWS certifications or relevant cloud certifications are an asset.
• Experience leading distributed or cross-functional development teams.
