The QA Lead will be responsible for building and structuring the quality assurance function of a connected products platform, by defining the processes, test plans and quality criteria for every product.
MORE PRECISELY
- Build the QA function from the ground up (processes, tools and documentation)
- Define and implement software and hardware test plans
- Establish clear quality criteria at every stage of development
- Plan and carry out manual test campaigns on the products
- Collaborate with the development and manufacturing teams
- Travel occasionally to a production site (15% of the time)
- Lead and grow the QA team, currently made up of one tester
- Work in an environment based on Python, Linux, firmware and iOS/Android
PROFILE
- 10+ years of professional experience in IT quality assurance (QA)
- Experience implementing QA processes in a loosely structured environment
- Expertise in firmware and embedded systems testing
- Good knowledge of Python and Linux environments

- Mastery of test case design and defect tracking
- Knowledge of electronics and the Internet of Things (IoT) (strong asset)

- ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certification (asset)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

Le Lead QA sera responsable de bâtir et de structurer la fonction d’assurance qualité d’une plateforme d’objets connectés, en définissant les processus, les plans de tests et les critères de qualité des produits.
PLUS PRÉCISÉMENT
- Bâtir la fonction QA de A à Z (processus, outils et documentation)
- Définir et implanter des plans de tests logiciels et matériels
- Établir des critères de qualité clairs à chaque étape du développement
- Planifier et réaliser des campagnes de tests manuels sur les produits
- Collaborer avec les équipes de développement et de fabrication
- Effectuer des déplacements ponctuels sur un site de production (15%)
- Encadrer et faire grandir l’équipe QA, composée présentement d’un testeur
- Œuvrer dans un environnement sur Python, Linux, Firmware
PROFIL
- 10+ années d’expérience professionnelle en assurance qualité (QA)
- Expérience en mise en place de processus QA
- Expertise en tests de firmware et de systèmes embarqués
- Bonnes connaissances en Python et en environnement Linux
- Expérience en automatisation des tests avec Python
- Maîtrise de la conception de cas de tests et du suivi des anomalies
- Connaissances en électronique et en Internet des objets (IoT) (fort atout)
