Summary

Join the HIMS Cloud Operations team and gain practical experience supporting enterprise cloud and hybrid infrastructure. In this role, you will work alongside experienced engineers and operations professionals to monitor services, respond to incidents, complete routine operational activities, and help maintain secure, reliable, and available environments.

This role is designed for an early-career professional who is eager to develop hands-on skills across AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), automation, infrastructure monitoring, and enterprise support practices.

What will your typical day look like?

In this role, you will monitor cloud infrastructure, applications, and operational dashboards across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI environments, responding to alerts and incidents by following established operational procedures and escalation processes. You will perform routine cloud administration activities, including system health checks, access reviews, and operational maintenance, while assisting with the provisioning, configuration, and decommissioning of cloud resources under the guidance of senior team members. The role also involves supporting backup, recovery, patching, and maintenance activities across cloud and hybrid environments, troubleshooting foundational infrastructure, networking, and application issues, and escalating complex problems when appropriate. You will participate in operational handovers, on-call rotations, incident management, service requests, and change activities, while creating and maintaining runbooks, troubleshooting guides, operational procedures, and knowledge articles. Using IT service management platforms such as ServiceNow, you will track and complete operational work, assist with monitoring, logging, and observability tools to identify service availability and performance issues, and support hybrid infrastructure, including Windows and Linux virtual machines hosted on cloud platforms and Microsoft Hyper-V. You will also contribute ideas for automation, continuous improvement, and operational process enhancements while adhering to applicable security, governance, compliance, and operational standards.

Enough About Us, Let’s Talk About You

You are someone who has these skills, experience & qualifications:

2+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure support, service desk, technical support, or cloud operations.
Foundational understanding of cloud computing concepts and services.
Basic knowledge of at least one cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, or OCI.
Foundational knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and routing.
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
A learning mindset and willingness to develop skills across new cloud technologies and platforms.

It would be great for you to have some of these nice to haves as well:

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Google Cloud Digital Leader, or OCI Foundations Associate certification.
Exposure to ServiceNow or another IT service management platform.
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Azure Monitor, or Amazon CloudWatch.
Introductory scripting or automation experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
Exposure to Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools such as Terraform.
Knowledge of ITIL concepts, incident management, change management, and operational support processes.
Experience in a managed services or enterprise operations environment.

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $90,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
