What will your typical day look like?

Your day is dynamic and impactful. You'll develop core skills in preparing SR&ED tax credit claims, guided by experienced mentors. As your expertise grows, you'll take on responsibilities like project scoping, client interviews, audit defense, and supporting sales. You’ll build strong client relationships, offering comprehensive tax solutions, and handle complex projects that position you as a trusted advisor. This role offers continuous learning and the chance to make a real difference for our clients.

Gi3: Global Investment and Innovation Incentives.

Deloitte’s Gi3 team is the leading innovation incentives provider both in Canada and across the globe. We help companies become more competitive by advising them on financial strategies to drive innovation, scale their business, and to combat climate change. Deloitte’s Gi3 team supports companies in accessing entitlement incentive programs such as SR&ED, Federal and Provincial merit-based / direct funding programs and the recently announced Clean Economy ITCs.

Enough About Us, Let’s Talk About You

5+ years in a process engineer, project engineer, innovation or operations management role
Experience preparing SR&ED tax credit claims
University degree in chemical, mechanical, industrial, process engineering or engineering physics
Direct experience in improving and managing industrial processes is an asset
Ability to understand technical data, interpret legislative tax rules, and clearly communicate key insights
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly, concisely, and persuasively
Ability to build rapport with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
Strong analytical skills with the ability to learn and synthesize complex technical information
Excellent project management capabilities
Ability to work independently while contributing to a high-performance team environment
Curiosity and interest in technology, business, and industrial processes
Enjoys leading and mentoring team members
Loves facetime with team members and clients

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $140,000 and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program. Requirements

Requires at least five years of experience in process or project engineering, innovation, or operations management, experience preparing SR&ED claims, and a university degree in a relevant engineering discipline. Candidates should be able to interpret technical information and tax rules, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, manage projects, and work independently and collaboratively.
