--

As a Sales Coach within Value & Sales Excellence, you will work alongside Deloitte Partners, account leaders and pursuit teams to improve our probability of winning strategic opportunities and growing priority accounts. You will bring an objective commercial perspective, sharper client insight and practical deal experience to help teams make better choices, create meaningful differentiation and articulate measurable client value. This is not a traditional sales-management, bid-management or proposal-coordination role. It is a senior, practitioner-facing coaching position focused on strengthening deal strategy, building momentum toward closing deals and making the people around you better at winning.

What will your typical day look like?

Your day will involve working directly with Partners, account leaders and pursuit teams on Deloitte’s most strategic and complex opportunities. You will move between challenging deal strategies, strengthening client-focused messaging, facilitating alignment among senior stakeholders and preparing teams for critical client interactions. Along the way, you will turn each pursuit into an opportunity to build stronger, more repeatable sales capabilities.

Your role will include:

Coaching strategic pursuit and account teams to better understand the client’s objectives, stakeholders and definition of value.
Strengthening opportunity qualification, deal strategy, competitive differentiation, win themes and executive messaging.
Helping teams connect client outcomes, value, relationships, solutions, commercial strategy and competitive positioning into a coherent pursuit approach.
Preparing leaders and teams for critical client interactions, executive presentations and oral presentations.
Asking difficult questions, testing assumptions and facilitating alignment when senior stakeholders have different perspectives.
Helping account teams deepen their client understanding, identifying pipeline opportunities and positioning differentiated, value-focused solutions.
Facilitating sales-coaching interventions, mentoring developing practitioners and sharing practical tools, lessons and repeatable approaches across the broader community.

About The Team

The VSE Team is of a group of specialized professionals dedicated to maximizing Deloitte’s return on sales investments, and to driving the firm’s most strategic opportunities. The team leads the firm on sales governance, sales enablement, and sales innovation and works with public and private sector teams from all of the Deloitte businesses and industries across Canada.

Enough About Us, Let’s Talk About You

You are someone with:

Substantial experience in complex B2B or professional-services sales, consulting, strategic pursuits, account growth, commercial strategy or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in cross industry sectors.
Strong commercial judgment and an instinct for what makes complex deals winnable.
Experience working on large, complex opportunities involving multiple stakeholders.
The executive presence and credibility to influence Partners and senior executives without relying on positional authority.
Strong facilitation, coaching and executive communication skills, including the confidence to provide direct, actionable feedback.
A strong understanding of client value, competitive differentiation, stakeholder strategy, deal strategy and executive messaging.
The ability to synthesize complex information and identify the few issues and actions that will have the greatest impact.
Intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn new industries, clients and offerings quickly.
Comfort navigating ambiguity and significant time pressure while moving fluidly between strategy and hands-on execution.
A practical, generous coaching mindset focused on building the confidence and capability of others.

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $104,000 - $215,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program. Deloitte is fair and competitive when it comes to the salaries of our people. We regularly benchmark across a variety of positions, industries, sectors, targets, and levels. Our approach is grounded on recognizing people's unique strengths and contributions and rewarding the value that they deliver.

Our Total Rewards Package extends well beyond traditional compensation and benefit programs and is designed to recognize employee contributions, encourage personal wellness, and support firm growth. Along with a competitive base salary and variable pay opportunities, we offer a wide array of initiatives that differentiate us as a people-first organization.
