What will your typical day look like?
Step into a key role where you will help modernize and elevate the future of finance for Canada’s leading organizations. As part of our Finance Transformation – Controllership & Treasury team, you will work alongside CFOs, Finance Executives, and Treasury leaders to solve complex challenges and redesign their finance and treasury functions for the digital age. Leveraging Deloitte Canada’s deep industry knowledge, advanced SAP capabilities, and a strong global network, you’ll develop innovative, market relevant solutions that drive measurable business value.
You’ll empower clients to strengthen financial governance, enhance operational performance, manage risk, and build a modern, data driven treasury organization.
As an SAP Treasury Senior Consultant, you'll play a pivotal role in helping clients transform their treasury operations and drive business value. In this role, you will:
- Lead the design and implementation of SAP Cash Management and Treasury Management solutions, including transaction management, hedge accounting, and liquidity planning.
- Guide and develop teams delivering treasury technology transformation services, from strategy through execution.
- Advise clients on treasury, risk management, and technology best practices to enhance operational efficiency and manage risk.
- Build strong client relationships through effective communication, project delivery, and ongoing support.
- Contribute to the growth of our practice by developing innovative tools, methodologies, and service offerings.
- Responsible for the functional configuration and maintenance of package technologies.
About The Team
Our Treasury team partners with CFOs, CAOs, Controllers, and Treasurers across Canada to modernize finance organizations. We help clients build efficient, automated, high‑performing finance and treasury functions that are insights‑driven and technology‑enabled.
We bring together expertise in controllership, treasury operations, governance, process redesign, and SAP S/4HANA to support clients through every stage of transformation.
Required Qualifications
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a strong academic record.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in consulting, corporate treasury, or bank treasury, with a focus on technology and treasury management systems, specifically SAP Treasury.
- At least 2 years of SAP Treasury consulting experience, including participation in 3 or more full lifecycle implementations across all phases of the software development life cycle.
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise in at least two SAP Treasury core components (e.g., Cash Management, Transaction Manager, In-House Cash, Risk Analyzers, Liquidity Planner, Hedge Management and Accounting, SWIFT Integration, BCM, or integration with financial accounting).
- Proven experience developing system requirements, designing and prototyping solutions, conducting testing and training, defining support procedures, and implementing business solutions within complex project timelines.
- Direct involvement in treasury transformation initiatives, vendor selection processes, and treasury management system (TMS) implementations.
- Ability to travel 40% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sector you serve
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree or professional designation such as MBA, CPA, CFA, CTP, or similar.
- At least 4 years of progressive treasury experience in corporate, banking, or TMS vendor environments.
- Experience integrating SAP with external trading platforms (e.g., FXall, 360T) and market data providers (Bloomberg, Refinitiv).
- Deep understanding of cash management, liquidity forecasting, FX, debt capital markets, interest rate risk, and financial instruments.
- Proven leadership experience mentoring teams and managing deliverables in fast paced consulting environments.
- Strong executive presence with excellent communication, presentation, and client facing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience in preparing client proposals and presentations.
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $175,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
