Summary

We are passively seeking Full Stack Java Developers to join our team on a 1-year fixed term. As a Full Stack Java Developer at Deloitte, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications or software solutions for a leading North American Bank. This long-term staff augmentation role requires strong expertise with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Angular or React.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building scalable enterprise applications, developing microservices, designing REST APIs, and delivering modern frontend applications using Angular or React. Candidates should be comfortable working in Agile environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing throughout the full software development lifecycle.

This role combines hands-on development, technical leadership, and collaboration with business and technology stakeholders to deliver secure, high-quality, and scalable solutions.

What will your typical day look like?

You will develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Angular or React. You will design and build scalable RESTful APIs and backend services while developing responsive, high-performance frontend applications using modern Angular or React frameworks.

You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, and UX teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. You will participate in system design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions for large-scale distributed systems, while working with development teams to estimate effort, define technical solutions, and deliver features on schedule.

You will write clean, maintainable, secure, and well-documented code following development best practices. You will also implement and maintain automated testing frameworks, unit tests, and integration tests, while supporting CI/CD pipelines, application deployments, and production releases.

You will troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance bottlenecks, and production issues, with a focus on improving application performance, scalability, reliability, and security. You will work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle, including designing efficient data models.

You will actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
