Location Address: Toronto; Work arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days in office per week.

Contract Duration: 6 months with Extension

Story Behind the Need: The team requires a backfill BAU SME.

Business group: FX- Derivative team has a number of ongoing projects at the bank regarding process updates and implementation.

We are seeking an experienced transformation professional to support and lead strategic change initiatives impacting Equity, Interest Rate, FX Derivatives, and Money Market products across Global Wholesale Operations. The successful candidate will leverage deep Capital Markets Operations knowledge and proven project delivery expertise to drive governance, execution, risk management, and stakeholder alignment. Working across Technology, Operations, Front Office, and support functions, the contractor will support initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen controls, and advance key priorities within the Derivatives and FX Services operating model.

Typical Day in Role:

Drive the Derivatives & FX Services strategy through strong delivery governance and control execution.

Lead complex business and operational change initiatives from scoping through implementation.

Manage project portfolios, including plans, dependencies, risks, budgets, and stakeholder alignment.

Deliver operational improvements that increase efficiency, effectiveness, and control outcomes.

Ensure business and operational readiness through communications, training, process updates, and transition planning.

Strengthen operational resilience by identifying, escalating, and remediating control gaps and risk issues.

Apply effective risk management and regulatory compliance practices in day-to-day decision-making.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

1. 8 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst

2. Strong Capital Markets product, operational, and market infrastructure knowledge.

3. Knowledge of derivatives, FX, money market, and transaction lifecycle processes.

4. Ability to build effective partnerships across Front Office, Operations, Technology, and Risk.

5. Strong focus on risk management, controls, regulatory compliance, and data quality.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

1. Data analytics and data mining

2. Hands-on experience with Copilot or similar AI tools

Best vs. Average Candidate

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in derivatives, foreign exchange, or money markets. Experience in process optimization across trade confirmations, settlements, or trade reconciliations. Understands control requirements for building process optimizations in the previously mentioned products and processes.
