Role Description The Concrete Finisher is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Calgary Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for preparing job sites, setting up and stripping forms, and placing, leveling, and finishing concrete surfaces for residential and commercial projects. Day-to-day tasks include working with flatwork (such as driveways, sidewalks, and slabs), applying surface treatments, and ensuring proper curing and clean-up of work areas. The Concrete Finisher will operate relevant tools and equipment, follow safety procedures, read and interpret project plans, and collaborate with the crew and site supervisors to meet quality and schedule requirements.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in formwork and flatwork for concrete structures and surfaces.
• Candidates should possess skills in using power tools typically required for concrete finishing.
• Candidates should possess skills in carpentry related to building and adjusting concrete forms.
• Candidates should possess skills in safely operating heavy equipment used on concrete job sites.
• Previous experience as a concrete finisher or in a similar construction role is strongly preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to follow instructions and read basic construction drawings.
• Reliable transportation to job sites in the Greater Calgary Metropolitan Area and flexibility to work extended or weekend hours as needed.
