YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up or validate the control budget and cost coding structure, aligned with scope, contracts and schedule activities
  • Reconcile purchase orders, invoices, accruals, commitments and approved changes with finance and procurement records

  • Separate approved budget transfers and changes from unapproved trends, potential claims and contingency drawdown
  • Challenge contractor forecasts with the Estimator, Planner and site team using quantities, productivity and remaining work
  • Prepare monthly variance explanations, cash-flow forecasts and a clear account of remaining contingency
  • Support decisions with a traceable cost history and timely notice of material exposure
  • Design and preparation of reports using the available information to best reflect status of major projects to a variety of internal audiences including project management, finance, and leadership

Requirements

You are a detail-oriented cost control professional with experience supporting significant construction, mining, or process-facility projects.
