Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Server role based in Edmonton, AB. The Server is responsible for greeting guests, presenting menus, and providing prompt, friendly table service throughout each visit. Day-to-day tasks include taking food and beverage orders, entering orders accurately into the POS system, coordinating with kitchen staff, and delivering meals and beverages in a timely manner. The role involves checking on guest satisfaction, responding to questions and special requests, and handling payments and receipts with attention to detail. Servers help maintain a clean and safe dining environment, follow food safety and hygiene standards, and support teammates to ensure efficient, high-quality service during all shifts.
Qualifications
- Strong guest service and hospitality skills, with a passion for creating a welcoming and positive dining experience.
- Open availability, including late-night and overnight shifts, is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with guests, team members, and management.
- Strong sales and upselling abilities, including promoting menu specials, alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and other featured products.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills, with the ability to operate POS systems and process payments accurately.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Willingness to perform side duties, maintain cleanliness, and support daily restaurant operations.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service practices. A valid Alberta ProServe certification is required for employees serving alcohol.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work mornings, evenings, late nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.
- Previous restaurant serving experience is preferred; however, training will be provided to suitable candidates.
- Strong teamwork, accountability, and a positive attitude toward guest satisfaction and achieving sales targets.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and meet applicable provincial employment requirements.
