Senior Digital Project Manager
Toronto, hybrid

DEPT® is a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, our 4,000+ specialists deliver growth invention services across Brand & Media, Experience, Commerce, CRM, and Technology & Data. We’re 50|50 tech and marketing, partner-led, and first to move. Clients include Google, Lufthansa, Meta, eBay, and OpenAI. We have been certified B Corp and Climate Neutral since 2021.

This is a 6 month fixed term employee contract, with likelihood of extension. The role is fully hybrid, working EST hours from Canada, in Toronto.

This posting reflects an existing vacancy.

JOB PURPOSE

This role is part of our Global Studios team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behaviours, and shift market share for our clients.

DEPT is looking for an adaptable, high energy Senior Digital Project Manager (Senior Producer) to join our fast paced agency team. In this role, you will lead high-impact digital initiatives for an equally fast-moving client. They will be responsible for managing up to 6 workstreams of 1 client in the digital and AI space. Activities will include launching products, support of marketing initiatives and innovative digital experience.

You will serve as the engine that powers product design and development, bridging the gap between strategy, design, technical execution, and client expectations. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, naturally brings order to chaos, and stays calm when priorities pivot. If you have experience managing cross-functional teams of UX/UI designers and developers, and are genuinely excited about leveraging AI to optimize workflows and build modern digital experience, we want to talk to you!

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Project Management & Delivery

Drive Execution: Manage the end-to-end delivery of complex web, AI and digital products from discovery through launch and optimization.
Organize Dynamic Tasks: Structure complex, multi-threaded projects; establish clear milestones, sprint plans, and deliverables amidst shifting requirements.
Cross-Functional Team Management: Manage asset delivery for UX/UI designers, front-end/back-end developers to deliver high-quality work on schedule.
Client & Stakeholder Management: Leading a high-speed client, facilitating clear communication, setting realistic expectations, and managing scope changes gracefully.
Project Management: Build, update and manage status documents and resource allocation and planning.
Risk & Resource Management: Proactively identify bottlenecks, clear road blocks for technical and creative teams, and manage resource allocation across active workstreams.

Team & AI Integration

AI Tooling & Workflow Optimization: Encouraged to explore, pilot, and integrate emerging AI tools to streamline agency and client workflows.
Modern Product Delivery: Facilitate agile syncs (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and design reviews) adapted for high-velocity teams.

WHAT YOU BRING:

Agency & Client-Side Experience: Digital project management experience within a fast-paced agency or high-growth environment.
Creative & Technical Fluency: Proven track record leading design teams (UX/UI, design systems, research) and engineering teams (custom web/app development, APIs, integrations).
AI Enthusiasm: Hands-on experience with or a strong curiosity about AI tools, generative workflows, and how AI impacts modern design and development ecosystems.
Thrives in Ambiguity: Comfortable operating without a complete map; capable of translating loose briefs and evolving goals into clear, actionable plans accommodating rapid change
Agility, Adaptability & Flexibility: Able to pivot quickly with shifting timelines without losing momentum or compromising product quality under tight deadlines, while remaining calm under pressure
Problem Solver: A steady, decisive presence who calmly navigates high-stakes deadlines and fluid scope.
Strong Communicator: Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills, able to speak fluently with engineers, creative directors, and client executives alike.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $70,000 – $80,000 CAD. Salary is based on relevant experience, expertise, and organizational impact.

WE OFFER

A flexible, hybrid working policy

WHY DEPT®?

We are a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, we create what is next by pioneering ideas, acting fast, and moving further because standing still just is not in our DNA.

We are drawn to people who stay curious, move with intent, and never stop inventing. Our culture runs on three values: better together, relentlessly curious, and get sh*t done. It is how we work, how we grow, and how we make things that matter.

At DEPT®, you will find the freedom to explore, the space to collaborate, and the trust to make a real impact for our clients, for each other, and for the world we are helping to build.

AI Disclosure: At DEPT®, we use AI-assisted technology (Metaview) to capture notes and summarize interview conversations, so our interviewers can stay fully focused. Using the AI is optional, just let us know if you’d prefer it not be used.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION

At DEPT®, we take pride in creating an inclusive workplace where everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive. We actively seek to recruit, develop, nurture, and retain talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, with varying skills and perspectives.

Not sure you meet all qualifications? Apply, and let us decide! Research shows that women and members of underrepresented groups tend not to apply for jobs when they think they may not meet every requirement, when in fact they do. We believe in giving everyone a fair chance to shine.

We also encourage you to reach out to us and discuss any reasonable adjustments we can make to support you throughout the recruitment process and your time with us.
