Help Design the Future of Manufacturing

At DSC, we specialize in manufacturing facility layout, design, and process optimization. We help clients transform their operations through smart facility planning, efficient production workflows, and practical engineering solutions.

We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Industrial Engineer who enjoys solving real-world challenges and turning ideas into functional, efficient manufacturing environments.

You'll work alongside experienced engineers on a variety of industrial projects, gaining hands-on experience in everything from initial facility planning and process analysis to detailed design and implementation.

If you enjoy combining technical design, creative problem-solving, and real-world engineering, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Facility Layout & Design: Develop and optimize manufacturing layouts, equipment arrangements, and material flow using AutoCAD.
  • Manufacturing Optimization: Analyze production processes, workflows, capacity, and bottlenecks to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Engineering Analysis: Conduct time studies, production assessments, and data analysis to support smarter operational decisions.
  • Hands-On Project Work: Participate in site visits, facility assessments, field measurements, and project implementation.
  • Collaboration & Innovation: Work with engineers, clients, and industry professionals to develop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.

  • What We're Looking For

    • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) & (3D) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Understanding of manufacturing processes, facility planning, material flow, and Lean manufacturing principles.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • A proactive, detail-oriented team player who enjoys both technical design and hands-on work.

    Experience:

Entry-level and intermediate candidates are encouraged to apply. Relevant co-op, internship, and project experience are welcome; two years of industrial engineering experience is preferred.

Bonus Skills: 3D CAD, facility scanning, manufacturing simulation, Power BI, process modeling, or progress toward P.Eng. registration.

Why Build Your Career at DSC?

At DSC, you'll do more than work behind a desk. You'll see how engineering decisions shape real manufacturing environments and contribute to projects that make a measurable difference.

    We offer:

    • Meaningful Projects: Work on diverse industrial and manufacturing facility design challenges.
    • Professional Growth: Learn from experienced engineers while expanding your technical and practical skills.
    • Hands-On Experience: Get involved in real-world facility planning, plant assessments, and engineering design.
    • Collaborative Culture: Join a supportive team that values initiative, fresh ideas, and continuous improvement.
    • Competitive Benefits: Dental and vision care, RRSP matching, paid time off, and on-site parking.

  • Additional Requirements: Valid driver's licence and Canadian passport required. Willingness to travel up to 75% preferred.

READY TO HELP SHAPE SMARTER MANUFACTURING FACILITIES?

Bring your ideas, technical skills, and curiosity to DSC. Apply today and build your engineering career with us!
