Original job description
Temporary 12- Month Position
Join the Partner Strategies and Communication team within the Individual Insurance division, where you’ll contribute to a wide variety of communications initiatives that support our business priorities. Our team is at the heart of B2B communications for our distribution networks, whether operational, promotional or strategic. We develop and continuously improve channels such as webi.desjardinsassurancevie.com and the Desjardins Insurance newsletter for our partners. We’re looking for a versatile, creative and results-oriented Communications Advisor who enjoys thinking about the best way to communicate a message just as much as bringing it to life, from initial thinking through to the final deliverable. One day, you might simplify a complex topic and turn it into clear, accessible communications. The next, you might transform an idea into an impactful presentation, write a newsletter or review web content through a UX lens. If you enjoy this variety of projects, join us! More specifically, you will be required to:
- Advise internal clients by analyzing their communications needs and recommending the most appropriate approach
- Define the angle, key messages, tone and format based on the objectives, context and target audiences
- Develop, write and optimize content for various channels, including web, newsletters, presentations, communications and promotional tools
- Simplify complex or technical topics to create communications that are straightforward, clear and effective
- Structure information and develop presentations that combine message clarity with strong visual quality
- Optimize digital content with the user experience (UX) in mind
- Support members of management in preparing communications, presentations and key messages
- Contribute to assignments related to promotion, business development and events
- Manage communications assignments from end to end, from needs analysis through to final delivery
What we offer*
- Competitive salary and annual bonus
- 4 weeks of flexible vacation starting in the first year
- Defined benefit pension plan that provides predictable, stable income throughout retirement
- Group insurance including telemedicine
- Reimbursement of health and wellness expenses and telework equipment
* Benefits apply based on eligibility criteria.
What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or a related field
- A minimum of four years of experience in a communications role involving a variety of assignments and deliverables
- Please note that other combinations of relevant education and experience may be considered
- Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with english-speaking parteners, members and/or clients
