Original job description

The Multichannel Media & Performance Department leads the strategy, activation and optimization of Desjardins’ marketing media initiatives to maximize performance, user experience and business impact. As search journeys rapidly evolve under the influence of artificial intelligence, conversational platforms and social media, discoverability has become a critical lever for ensuring brand visibility and recommendation. As a Discoverability Advisor, you will contribute to the evolution of this practice at Desjardins by conducting analyses, developing strategic recommendations and supporting partners in the implementation of initiatives that strengthen the organization's presence across current and emerging digital environments. You will join a team of more than 90 specialists passionate about digital media, relationship marketing, discoverability, measurement and media intelligence. More specifically, you will be required to:

Contribute to the development and evolution of the digital discoverability practice, including Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), to optimize Desjardins’ presence, recommendation and acquisition across traditional search environments and AI-powered expériences.
Conduct discoverability audits to evaluate the presence, visibility and recommendation of the brand, products and content across traditional search environments and AI-powered platforms, and formulate recommendations aligned with business objectives.
Analyze the evolution of search behaviors, user journeys, AI-powered answer engines and the digital landscape to identify opportunities, risks and potential impacts for business sectors.
Contribute to the development, prioritization and implementation of discoverability action plans in collaboration with partner teams, based on business objectives and user needs.
Act as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders and contribute to raising awareness and simplifying discoverability-related challenges and opportunities for a variety of audiences.
Actively contribute to integrated cross-channel performance reporting by providing informed perspectives on observed results, discoverability levers and emerging trends.
Monitor the evolution of search engines, digital platforms, large language models (LLMs), algorithms and user behaviors to influence the organization's business strategies and recommendations.
Contribute to the development of measurement approaches, KPIs and analytical methodologies related to discoverability and visibility across search and generative AI environments.
Participate in the experimentation of new approaches, methodologies, tools and practices related to discoverability, and share learnings with teams and communities of practice.

What you bring to the table

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field
A minimum of four years of relevant experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Experience in marketing, discoverability, organic search (SEO) or content strategy, with a strong focus on consumer needs
Experience analyzing performance, developing recommendations and building action plans in a digital performance environment
Experience influencing stakeholders and mobilizing partners in a context of ambiguity and rapid change
Advanced French and English proficiency due to the nature of the role, work tools, and interactions with English-speaking partners, members and clients
Knowledge of large language models (LLMs), conversational agents and their impact on search behaviour
Strong ability to simplify complex topics and present recommendations to management audiences
Knowledge of discoverability, SEO and GEO measurement and analytics tools
Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals and discoverability challenges in both traditional search and AI-powered environments
